WASD Action RPG

Hi,

I've played a lot of MMORPGs but not too long ago i played Continent of the Ninth (C9) a korean WASD Action MMORPG non targeting system game. I played it for a while without problems but then all of a sudden i started lagging and had to stop playing - probably because the servers are half way around the world...

Anyways I would like a list of games with similar gameplay. it can be in developement i just want to find out whats out there and what is up coming. Point and click is so boring after playing C9. it just seems so mindless just standing there cycling through your skill shortcuts and pots. Where is the fun in that? C9 actually made it feel like you were in the game doing combos dodging attacks fighting bosses...

Here are a couple i'm aware of:


  • Continent of the Ninth (C9)

  • Mabinogi Heroes (vindictus)

  • Tera Online

  • Blade and Soul (i'm actually not sure of its gameplay but it looks cool)

  • Kingdom Under Fire 2 (not the gameplay i describe above but looks very cool)

  • Rakion (this one is a little old but still very fun, i just remembered it)

  • Ace Online (flight shooter, unique, fast paced, i actually played it under its old title - Space Cowboys Online)

This is the future of MMORPGs. This is the way they should be. C9 was great but you had to enter dungeons where you fight monsters and a boss at the end. a more free world version of C9 would be perfect. Vindictus looks amazing because it looks like there is some serious strategy, teamwork and environment interaction involved. Tera Online looks amazing as well but is not free. Aion is a very well done point and click game but it does not even compare to a WASD Action MMORPG like the ones i described above.

If anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it. i've obviously done some research but the internet is too vast im sure there must be more i missed...

Also im open to any other suggestions i am currently playing League of Legends (LoL). this game interests me because it is against other players so you have to use teamwork and strategy to out play and out smart the opponents.

    Dungeon Fighter Online. It's a nice Arcade-style game (2D though)

    just added rakion to the list.. i had forgotten about that... lets see if i remember my account info...

    and i dont think dungeon fighters is going to cut it.. its too retro.. i want more modern or at least 3d.

    I've probably suggested this a dozen times already, but try savage 2. It's difficult to explain, but find some gameplay videos and you'll understand. There's also this new game called LOCO, which is basically a DotA / rakion mash up.

    Thanks i like both those games... though if savage 2 had more swords and magic type weapons instead of guns it would be better i think... if i wanted an MMO FPS there are other options... but still both those games have exciting gameplay it seems ... not standing in front of each other pressing 123... thats very stale...

     

    EDIT: nvm its just in the vid i watched the guy was using a ranged character... its not like an FPS at all... this looks interesting...
