The 240 is fairly meh, but other than that everything is compatible.
750 watt is more than you need, you're spending more on a PSU than on a video card, and that's fairly foolish.
Now with 57.3% more flames!
Replace that 240 with this for better performance at the same price

well this is not a really bad build but the card is very lacking, the 5770 is a good budget card with great performance http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150464&cm_re=ATI_5770-_-14-150-464-_-Product
also here is a good PSU thats cheap and will give you what you need http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016
my recommendation of a great card but beyond your budget is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102884&cm_re=ATI_radeon_5850-_-14-102-884-_-Product
goodluck with your build

I'm going to have to agree with Smile9999, on both points. The GT240 is just a sorely lacking card for a gaming machine these days (isn't it just a rebadged 9600?), while the Radeon HD 5770 is about as fantastic as it gets for performance per dollar (afaik, nothing on the market does better), and it's a fairly strong overall performer. It's about on par with a Radeon HD 4870 or a Geforce GTX260 (even an SP216 if we're talking DX10.1+ titles), only it has DX11.
Getting one will only add about $50 to that build.
There are a few things I would change. The motherboard you chose is over 2 years old. I would choose an 890GX which runs about the same price. I don't think you can edge the costs down enough for an 890FX. The second thing I would do is opt for a C3 stepping AMD Phenom II processor. Better thermal envelops and perfomance. The next thing I would do is get rid of the GT240. The entire G200 series below 250 is crap, and not worth the price compared to a similar AMD GPU.
For an $800 Computer you really have to take the time to balance. The Corsair 750w is a fine PSU but its too much for the needs of your system and your case will not be able to handle the heat for a system that would require a Corsair 750w. A more modest 500~600w PSU would be more appropriate. In regards to the Antec 300, you might be able to get a better built case for the same price but I would have to do a bit of research. The same applies to a 1TB drive in a more moderate system and you might be able to get a better deal on memory. Overall I would suggest using these parts:
Motherboard- Foxconn 890GX $99.99 + $2.99 shipping $13.88
Processor- AMD Phenom II x4 945 C3 $139.99 $20.00
Combo Deal GPU and PSU $30.00 - Use this link instead of buying individually.
GPU- Sapphire HD5770 $174.99 - $10 Mail-in Rebate $110
PSU- OCZ Fatality 550w $69.99 - $25 Mail-in Rebate - $5 off with promo code EMCYSZW32 before 5/24 $39
Memory- OCZ Platinum 4GB(2x2GB) DDR3-1333 $104.99 $5.00
HDD- Western Digital Caviar Black 640MB $79.99 $5.00
Combo Deal Case and Optical Drive $62.00 - Use this link instead of buying individually.
Optical Drive- ASUS DVD-RW $25.99 + $1.99 Shipping $27.98
Case- Thermaltake Xaser VI Full Tower $189.99 $130
Adjustment- $93.10
The case is probably over the top, but who could ignore that combo savings for a fulltower? I have an alternative suggestion for the case that would be $108 cheaper. NZXT Gamma Classic $39.99, it combos with the memory for a $20 savings. Here is the combo deal for case and memory if you choose this route instead.
Alright, here is my edited list.

and this wouldn't go in the wishlist http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.395866
This should be much better. I am pretty happy with it.
If you get the NZXT Gamma Classic, you can combo it with the memory for a $20 discount. It also costs $20 less.
Yeah I know, but I really didn't like that case. I'm going to review my parts once more then order them.
Thanks for the help.
