Server for new player?

Greetings,  I bought the game  years ago, but stopped playing when I couldn't convince any of my friends to join me.  I ended up going back to WoW.  (boo, hiss...I know)  :(

 

So I've seen the threads about possible server merge and new interest in the game.  Is there a preferred popular server or is everything split pretty evenly?

I have two characters around level 10, Disciple and Blood Mage.  That's as far as I got before.  Would it be to just reroll.  I'm assuming there is probably some completely new starter area now.

    Well - you definitely should reroll. Level 10 is just a couple hours to play. And theres a new starter island that rocks extremely. You get brilliant gear, and you can start diplomacy and crafting to 10 as well, and get great gear for both fields on top.

    So you'll be level 10/10/10 quite easily with good gear, can also have skill 120 in two harvester jobs, and all very fast compared to the way one usually gets this stuff. I estimate in total this would be like 10 hours or so time.

    Ok, so I installed the client this weekend.  I hadn't played since 2007 so the Island was new to me.  I started several new toons on Seradon.  The island had lots of new people on it.  People were asking questions in chat and others were answering.  It was nice to see.
