Anyone attending PAX East?

just curious because there has been specualtion that they wil reveal their DX11 version at the same time. Dying to see what it wil look like but at the moment building another new toy for the shooting range so it may be awhile before I upgrade my vid card.

    Yup, will be leaving for Hines Convention center in a little while. If I can get pictures I will.

    Nope, no DX 11.

    I spoke with some people there and the DX 11 wasn't ready. No indication where they were in the process. They actually had to find someone to tell me about that so I'm not sure how much it is talked about at Turbine or how far along it is.

    Also, no big announcments. They said nothing big would be announced until closer to the anniversary time.

    Nice booth, very busy, they were giving away free DDO points and cd's of LOTRO's music.

    Actually, the exhibition floor was very busy and there was quite a lot to see but not near as muc as Seattle Pax.

    Still, According to the Boston Globe, PAX has a contract there through 2012 (cue conspiracy  - end of the world theorists) with a "we'll see how it goes" for more.

    Judging from the turnout today it was a pretty big success.

    So in other words it was all ddo releated. I saw a huge write up for DDO.

    Oh you're welcome.

    As far as it being all about DDO (re: eric T. Lewis) I would say that it wasn't all about DDO BUT there did seem to be a feeling that DDO was more prominant.

    I have some pictures from the show and will take more when I go back on sunday*.

    *note to self: When making plans to go to PAX buy tickets ahead of time so that I can go on Saturday as well.

    As it turns out, the entire show was sold out. At dinner on Thursday (pub across the street) a woman overheard me talking and asked if I knew of anyone with an extra ticket as they went very fast.

    It's pax fever here in boston!
