im addicted to searching for that 1 mmo to spend my little amount of time. Download this game that game and here's one too. I can tell if im going to keep playing within the first 5 levels. Really; i can. i've played ffxi and wow for long stretches; perfect world too.
ffxiv better be good cause I'll be buying a graphics card specifically to play this.
I guess theres something out there for everybody even if "i" may not like it.
What game are you playing?

Lol! was doing the same thing myself a few months ago op. My advice is just to ignore mmo's for a little bit and if you need a fix get some single player action going. I was running around from game to game before the recent Fallen Earth give away. Now I am playing that. Also resubed to EVE this evening becouse I missed it. And potering around on Runes of Magic every so often for a free to play fantasy fix.
lol; sounds like your still kinda stuck in that loop friend. but yes its time to give the searching a rest and give my xbox 360 some attention.
i tried the fallen earth trial but my graphics card said no way!
Yea same boat here, playing wow ATM, though sorta over it again. So waiting on jumpgate evolution...yealong wait I guess, I'll just play diablo 3 while i wait.

I'm with you on this one.
I just started through KotOR again...
Amen brother. I was going to try out AoC after someone on these forums said they resubbed and the game is nothing like they remember it...But then on that same thread someone said it still lacks content because its mostly a pvp game. Not interested in that.
Right now I'm just playing ps3 games (GoW, FFXIII, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Resistance 2)...I start playing them and I start feeling an overwhelming sadness because at certain points I have nostalgia for those good MMOs I used to play and got bored of. That and the fact that I feel like the games are just stories, as opposed to the freedom and flexibility an MMO has to offer in terms of building up my character.
I'm at a loss now as to what to do. Summer Vacation is coming up soon and I want to play a game all summer long like how I remember it from the good old high school years.
At least while I'm not playing MMOs I'm getting superb marks this semester...
Other than that I really feel like I'm missing out on all the good things life has to offer. And I don't mean friends or family, I have plenty of those. I'm talking about those instances in time where your character made a significant achievement (beating a raid boss, staying up all night scouting a house to buy before it becomes available to buy and then finding the suitable random materials required to purchase it, hell even just hanging out a town/city in an MMO where all your friends and rival guilds are and you just shoot the [expletive].)
Man the good old days were pretty fun. Or is that my faulty memory blocking out all the bad things and only remembering the good?

lol...Ummmm Age of Conan does not lack content in any department...And it is not mostly a PvP game..Infact the most popular server is a PvE server >_>
It is interesting to see how many of us are around. I am looking at a 2 year wait for a game - TSW in 2 years and Diablo 3 in 2 years (though what the hell they have been doing for the last 8 years I don't know). I just think of all the money I will save
Well I think I'll try it out now jeeze.

+ 1
Although I will say that taking an extended break fro MMOs was welcomed. Eventually it will be time to jump back in. I wager KOTOR will do this
Torrential: DAOC (Pendragon)
Awned: World of Warcraft (Lothar)
Torren: Warhammer Online (Praag)
That's the problem, there isn't a single MMO out right now I actually want to play, nor is there anything on the horizon I'm expecting to be any better. After I cancelled my last sub last summer, I've played through every decent single-player game I could think of, everything from Halo to Half-Life to Dead Space to Bioshock to KOTOR to Mass Effect, etc. I've beat 'em all and there's really nothing left. So a couple of days ago, I downloaded DDO again since they've made some changes that would make it more fun solo, since every single group, without exception, I've ever gotten in that game I've hated. Now I'm just remembering why I left the game in the first place, it just isn't that much fun.
I'd love to play an MMO, I just demand more of MMOs than any company is willing to make. There aren't enough good single-player games out there, even if I wanted to pay hundreds of dollars a month for them, to occupy my time. So I'm basically damned if I do, damned if I don't.
