    Well, it is not the first time Amazon jumped ahead and start accepting pre-orders.  Even though we still don't know if FFXIV will be released in the first or second half of 2010.  (Of course this is assuming it doesn't get delayed)

    I really would not pre-order till the announce the release date and the types of packages the games will be released in (I.E Collector's Edition or w/e), but that is just me.

    well the game aint released sooner cause one would pre-order the game. and quite certain they said it will get released in the late months of 2010 - said would be disappointed if it doesnt get released this year, but in that sentence it does open for the possibility that it may not make a 2010 release.

    That is exactly right, and we're not saying NO to save WoW, because it is already a lost cause. We are saying NO to dissuade the next group of greedy suits who decide to emulate Blizzard and Cryptic, etc.
    We can prevent some of the future games from spewing this crap, but the sooner we start saying no, the better the results will be.
