World of Warcraft! The Greatist and BEST MMO ever MADE!

I no longer play WOW. But it is still the best MMORPG ever! Why? After my 4 year trek of WOW. It is the only game my WIFE has ever BANNED me from playing!
I have a choice! Her or WOW!

I still love WOW. I miss it sometimes. But I know the consequences of my action if I dare! So I will not!

But it is still the most addictive , fun, mmo regardless. I gave my characters to a friend. My hunter Maidden I will miss !

Something to think about. I can play any other mmorpg and my wife does not care. Including my second favorite EVE or my third favorite Warhammer Online. She does not complain about either. Just WOW!

Thats how I know its #1 in my book!

    Yes , Maidden was my female BE Hunter on Dalvengyr.I quit right at the WOTLK launch.

    I personally think WoW is garbage but it had its moments...i played for over 5 years but when it comes to degree of content it doesn't stack up to games like EQ2 or Eve.  That and all the kids who play are just as annoying.  Almost as annoying as the ones who play Modern Warfare 2.

    idk where you got EQ2 from, but i assure you, its content (if it actually does have "more" then WoW, which I doubt) and game design are far less entertaining, and far more glitchy then WoW

    I just can't wrap my head around why anyone would play anything for five years if they think it's garbage.

    I just can't wrap my head around why anyone would play anything for five years if they think it's garbage.

    WoW is a good game, but since I quit I have had no real desire to go back. After reaching level 80 I found it really does not offer you anything if you are not able to do heavy raiding. With my college/work schedule I often do not have much during the week I can play so that sort of ruled me out for a good deal of the content. I often found myself just going for some rep or doing PvP in order to just have something to do while I was on.

    The greatest and best MMO ever made? You gotta be kiding me...It was good in its time but WoW is far from the best in 2010.  WoWs so easy even my grandmother could get a full suit of pvp armor in under 2 months..lol

    As a mmo player myself I like when I read positive threads on a game someone enjoys.

    With so much negativity on video game forums of all genres it's nice to see a post that Isn't damning a game to hell.

    Wow, if your -wife- forbids it, then surely it -must- be the best. I suspect though that the reason is something a bit more... mundane. See how your wife reacts to you playing something like Draconica, Mabinogi or something of that manner. Oh and make your best attempt to involve yourself with those communities very well as well.

    same here...it was a good game no a great game back in the days of TBC.. but then Blizzards game developers just got lazy and didn't even try to restore any of the in game balance that it lost in WOTLK.. thats why i quit so hate it now and would never play the game again or any game by Blizzard ever again even if they were free to play...

    So what is?? It is easy to say something lacks or is too easy or has lost it's charm, but people always seem hard pressed to point to something better?

    My top 3 would be WoW, E&B then Eve i guess, the three i spent the most time in. E&B was closed down, Eve lost me because of fundamental issues with limited charater development and the pure time sink element, but wow has managed to hold me so far.

    It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.
