Group unfriendly game

scuubeedooscuubeedoo Member Posts: 458

Hello. This game doesn't really encourage grouping. You get like half XP if you are in a two person party. I don't know if it goes even lower with 3 persons. So if you 're like me that likes to be in parties, i would suggest to stay away from this game.

"Traditionally, massively multiplier online games have been about three basic gameplay pillars – combat, exploration and character progression. In Alganon, in addition to these we've added the fourth pillar to the equation: Copy & Paste."

FINALLY!!!  A game I can play WITHOUT having to have a group of morons glued to my hip!  I hate playing games that force you to go in groups in order to level or beat a mob.  Especially since most of these games have nothing but children or bratty teenagers taking over and ruining the game.

Damn straight, forced grouping blows more than most porn stars.

My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.

For the grind part mostly, it is better to stay alone, but if you have a soulmate, you can party up with him/her because theres a extra experience from being a soulmate.

So maybe the grind doesn't support much grouping, but on pvping, grouping is heavily needed. This game is more on pvp-oriented, so its not that bad :)

actually the soulmate part i didnt knew, but it's certain that, the more guys are in your party, the less experience you get for doing your part in the killing

my guess is, in reps or docs, no more than 2 good chars or 3 normal chars would stay in the same group.

More than 3 it's just messy...

Group play is oriented around more novice players that can rely on friend to help them get experience and stay alive at the same time. The group play also excells during PVP when you want to stay alive. The soul mate option is great for saving your life in times of dire need during battle. After you have a little playing time in the game it is best to gain experience on your own, but some classes really struggle and will have to party to stay alive.

Actually, for reps, its better to do them in parties

as you usually need about 15 mobs to get the reps done.

so if you are in a party, they will get done faster

Groups are not as helpful in PVE as they are in PVP. This game is highly PVP oriented so groups, once you get higher lvl, for organizational and support purposes; are necessary.

groups are good  if your  soul mate  with the  person  and you  get   extra    xp  per kill ,  and  pvp  is  great    as  groups  kill many  ppl

Not sure where this extra EXP from questing with a soulmate comes from everyone talks about.

I souled with someone for about an hour or so and only got an extra 3 EXP per kill from it. Not even worth the hassle for the EXP, the added health thing did save me once though. It can only be used every so often it seems though.

Parties aren't normally required but certainly aren't rare.

I've only played for a few days, but mostly the parties form to take on the bosses. Otherwise you do get half xp and loot but from what I've seen the group plays in different areas in which you get the extra xp.
