 Is steam the only way to purchase this game. I dont care for the program when it tells me I have to wait 15 min to launch my games sometimes.

    I've never had that happen, and I have dozens of games on Steam. Was it a popular game that had just released?

    The only methods to purchase the game are Steam as you already know and ordering a box through their website off Amazon.com 

     

    I've never had that problem with steam, you may be experiencing a game needing to update itself first if it doesn't launch right away.
