On the official Spellborn forums there are some links to the Japanese Beta of TCoS, it seems that a lot is the same. New things seems to be a blue book over the head of combat quest mobs, hotkey bars for potions and food. Someone had run a Google translator on the item shop and it seems to be healing potions, PeP Potions and return scrolls and apparently several armor sets. I personally can not see any differences on the models in the game. Anyway IF they get this done right I think TCoS may still be a good game when it relaunches. It is a bit sad that we have no updated from Akklaim when the Japanese Beta seems to be going on just fine. I think it looks promising so far especially if they add more group content.

awesome! a beta for a game no one in the english speaking world gives a damn about is doing ok in Japan.YAY!
This game was decent enough to hold me for a couple months. I agree that more group content would be good. Hell, just more ways to progress besides quests would be good.
I'll play it again, I guarantee it. I just don't know if the constant questing will keep me hooked. Would like some progression through PvP, and perhaps faster leveling. Otherwise it just seems like a major quest grind, and I get tired of that quickly.

Well a lot of people played it when it was originally released, a lot of people though it was good but nothing they pay a subscription for. TCoS has several very good features but was lacking a lot in others. The servers now have more people on then than it has been in a long time.
