You could be the one to do it -- the one to name the next iconic Star Trek starship!
Actually, you'd be naming an entire class of starships. We have three previously unseen Starship classes in Star Trek Online. They're Tier 5 vessels. These top-of-the-line Cryptic specials represent the future of starship design. And, all you have to do to name one (or all three) is look at each of the three images we present to you on the page linked below, squeeze a bit of creativity juice out of your brain and into your fingers, and submit a suitably awesome name you deem appropriate.

Winning names will be announced on January 8, 2010 and will be included in the Star Trek Online game when it launches February 2, 2010. Eligible winners will also receive a poster of their named Starship class and a copy of Star Trek Online (the Digital Deluxe Edition)."

If you log into the web site and go the page to enter your naming entries, you'll see pictures and a brief overview of each ship.

i went with "Quantum-Core" for the class name of the cruiser and "Singularity" as the class name of the escort and "Terra-Nova" for the class of the new science ship, was really hoping to get to name some klingon tier 5s though =p then ild get to use my klingon speaking for something other then cursing out noobs
