The reasons im getting guild wars are these.

50% Its free *im poor*

45% It looks really good

5% Join guilds and talk

You tell me your reasons.

just to clarify, free means no monthly fees, its still costs u to buy the game.

60% no monthly fees (im a part time gamer)
30% something new in the way of gameplay, guilds.
9% smooth online play.
1% graphics (it is a great looking game, but im really into great gameplay rather than great window dressing, which by the way this game excells in both aspects)

I admit the 'no monthly fee' is very appealing. I've never played an MMORPG before so this will be my first. Another reason why I'm buying it is because I've heard it's not heavily reliant on items. A friend who've played through a beta told me there is more skill and teamwork involved in the missions. That sounds nice.

That's pretty much where I stand, though I don't think I could break it down to %s. It's a nice huge world that I love enjoyed exploring, and look foward to doing more exploring in. The missions are challening, the secondary ones moreso. Focus on teamwork rocks. I spent years in D2 for the PVP, and I expect to do the same here, only GW offers so much more in that respect. None of the crap from traditional rental mmos. The stuff some ppl say makes GW not an mmo? Well they can keep it, good riddance. It's as much of an mmo as I want out of a game, minus the crap. Then there's the graphics. They do so much with so little, it's damn good stuff. All in all, it's just gorgeous fast-past good fun. The land is vast, foes difficult, and competiton heated. And yes, the no-subcription thing is of course a factor.

50% - A friend of mine that I game with wants to play it too... he likes the no monthly fee part too, I would play it either way.

99% GREAT GAME!! Great graphics, guilds, friends, character customization, etc.
1% iITS FREE TO PLAY (you still have to buy the game)
