My last couple of MMO's were World of Warcraft and City of Heroes. I am currently in-between MMO's. I am currently looking at several MMO's, even though none of them are out yet. 1. Star Trek Online, 2. Star Wars: The Old Republics, 3. All-Point's Bulletin.
I like Star Trek Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic, both because I'm a huge Science Fiction fan and I like both of the franchises that these games are being made from. I like All-Point's Bulletin because I like the gameplay of Grand Theft Auto. I like Sci-Fi more than Fantasy, but I would not say that I do not like Fantasy entirely. Does anyone know of any good MMO's out there?

Just so you know none of those games you listed are released.
Yeah, he's looking into them =]

Ah seems like i missed the part where he says he knows there not out, my bad.
As for other games, in my opinion any game on the development list has the same potential as the others and really it's anyones game until the games are actually released.
I've been looking into Guild Wars... anyone played it? what do you think? is it a WoW clone?
Not even close. Guild Wars is its own thing. Not to mention, it has a free trial.

And I also noticed that they are coming out with Guild Wars 2. Does anyone know if this will be connected to Guild Wars, or if it will act as two different games?
They will be two completely different games except for the IP and the ability to transfer your GW1 chars to GW2.
GW2 is going to be a traditional MMORPG with a seamless open environment, whereas GW1 is heavily instanced and focused on solo and small group play. Two good comparisons would be Phantasy Star Online/Universe and White Knight Chronicles.

Depends on what you are looking for. Aion is kinda fun. I also like Darkfall, which is a complete change of pace. I like Darkfall because I was looking for a new system, that was more skill based as opposed to level based. I also wanted a more dynamic game and thought PvP was the way to go for that kind of excitement. You can check it out and see if you are interested:

No, you will not be able to transfer chars.
Can I play my original Guild Wars character in Guild Wars 2?
Guild Wars 2 is a whole new game with different professions and races, new technology, and expanded gameplay. It is not possible to directly use an original Guild Wars character.
However, your original Guild Wars character names will be reserved for your use in Guild Wars 2. The Hall of Monuments in Guild Wars 2 recognizes the accomplishments commemorated by your original Guild Wars characters and provides you with unique rewards to showcase those achievements.

My mistake, skeaser. Must have heard wrong.
In any case, I'd seriously shy away from Darkfall unless you're into hardcore PvP and getting ganked a lot. Especially if you're a wolf. They get ganked the most.

Any good Sci-Fi MMO's?
EVE is a really nice and deep sc-fi game, if it is something for you.
There is a free 14-day trial, and I definitely recommend it.
Huge list of games that might interest you, most of which you could have possibly overlooked. =]

I have to second Gidas on that one. EVE is probably the best sci-fi game out right now. This is, of course, just my opinion though.
Maybe this one ...
