Fat Princess. 15 bucks, and an absolute chaotic blast.
Try Borderlands. 4 player Co-Op and is a good solid fun game IMO.
Had 2 buddies over last night with 3 HDTV's, set up a LAN and played borderlands all afternoon and almost all night. Good fun.
I think its going to be out in the end of JAN. MAG is a FPS that has up to 256 people playing 20 min battles they have smaller one's with 64 people per side 128 total it was a blast, played beta.

What he said. Borderlands is an AWESOME co-op game.
Borderlands is an awesome Co-Op game, it's a blast. But is it just me or does it lag like hell online? It's so bad for me it's un playable co-op unless I do it split screen.
But I'll be lame and reccomend Modern Warfare 2. It's so much fun.
Killzone 2 is awesome !!
I know you wrote you dont like car racing, but how is it with
WipeOut HD? Racing with anti-grav ship + weapons....and its not expensive...check PSN Store out.
