Aion vision: Huge graphic and gameplay upgrade?

GameloadingGameloading Member UncommonPosts: 14,182

I don't know if this really is something in the work or just a tech demo, but NCsoft released a 9 minute trailer called Aion vision.

If Aion wasn't the most beautiful mmorpg around yet, it certainly will be soon.

It also shows some new gameplay concepts.

Already been posted about a billion times in the last 16 hours.

Yeah, the vid does make the game look even better looking than it already was.

from the looks of it i'm guessing they are moving the game over to CryEngine 2. I'm guessing it wouldn't be too difficult considering it's built in the first CryEngine. Either that or CryEngine 3 the one being currently developed.

Goddamn they know how to sell a game.  Is the combat actually as exciting as it looks in this game?  or is all that crap done through pressing number keys on your keyboard?

Probably CryEngine 2 if that. Going to an engine currently in development would be far more costly and would come with a lot more issues than using something that has been around with a few months of fixes.
