I might be stupid, but is there a setting to make it go to the first post in a thread instead of always going to the most recent?  Specifically when I click on a link from the home page to recent posts.

    yeah that is annoying.  Sometimes you can click the back button once to get the top of the thread.  It doesn't always work but does most of the time.
