Is there going to be a new trial with swg and jump to lightspeed so we can play both for sometime?

    I am not 100% sure but there has been RUMORS about that.
    If you are lucky maybe they will make a new trial...

    But considering how its gone so far, dont put all your hope into it.

    for any future announcements of any upcoming free trials. The forums here at MMORPG.com are not the best place to get official SWG news first.

     JTL has just come out. Expect at the earliest 6 months before they even think about offering JTL as a free trial. 1 year from now most likely. BTW many computer stores are now selling SWG+JTL for $60.oo to $70.oo total. A bit more than the price of 1 computer game. If you get just 1 month enjoyment then it pays for itself, since most stand alone games last 1 month/take 1 month to complete then one has to buy another stand alone game.

     You can prepare for JTL  by buying and playing "X-Wing vs Tie" at your local computer store. It goes for roughly $10.oo

    And for anyone who is interested in creating their own saga in the Star Wars universe (including all the action of Jump to Lightspeed), starting December 17, 2004, FilePlanet.com will host a 10 day free trial.

    however fileplanet dosnt have on their web site yet! ::::26::

    I've been wondering that also...I'm really excited for the space combat in JtL, and if I like it, I'll probably be re-subscribing to the game!image

    heh just made a post about this in off-topic too,  but I hope there is a trial coming out soon its hard to find any mmorpg with realtime or "twitch" based combat.

    I wouldn't necesarily call the combat in JTL twitch based. I've done some reading about hte expansion on wbesites like IGN and Gamespy. The one thing they say is that ships need uber part to be good. So the only time your flying skills actually matter is in PvP when your ships are equal otherwise people with better ship components or better ships win out. So your flying skills aren't that important.

    10 day trial of swg&jtl at fileplanet.com but it's for fileplanet subscribers at the moment.

     In the UK i have seen the SWG game client given away free on pc game mag's covers, meaning you would only have to buy JTL. Also Fileplanet is doing a SWG and JTL trial.

    Fileplanet.com now says anyone can download the 10 trial, but for some reason, after I get my key and click to download...it leads me to the download-server selection screen but only the fileplanet subscriber servers show up...

    their pages are screwed up, actually their server I beleive. You have to wait a few minutes and the lower part of the page will finally load. I think one of their advertisements is backfiring on them. Give it time, the bottom will come up.
