Pretty sure this is just a fan made RP site, either way it's kinda cool. Some folks on the official forums have been debating what the point of it is. www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php
video from the site on Youtube seems kinda cool
Transmission same video
The site is registered to someone in Houston Texas. Unless this is some weird Easteregg and BioWare hired out some agency to do this, I would say it's just fan made. The site says something will happen on August 24th, not sure what that is all about.

Interesting.
Say hello, To the things you've left behind. They are more a part of your life now that you can't touch them.
There is also a Twitter link , MySpace and Facebook pages. In the Great Holocron page of Wookipedia someone lists this as "a new alternate reality game".
"If we don't attack them, they will attack us first. So we'd better retaliate before they have a chance to strike"
Yeah Sean just chimed in, he didn't confirm it as being theirs, but then again would they really confirm it? From what I understand this is a new marketing strategy for many media companies. I still think it's fan made, but I've been wrong before.
"they diverge sharply from the philosophy behind "sponsored consumers" or other viral marketing practices that attempt to trick consumers into believing that planted shills for a product are other independent consumers."
"Puppetmasters generally leave both subtle and overt clues to the game's fictional nature and boundaries where players can find them (e.g. through clearly fictional names on site registrations) and many ARGs openly flaunt obviously fictional plots."
