Goodbye NFL GameDay,Good Bye NFL Blitz....See ya NFL Fever!....Adios NFL 2k series(and ESPN series)....good bye all NFL games besides Madden,NFL Street,and an un announced NFL game from EA,b/c EA HAS BOUGHT,THE WHOLE NFL LICENSE......Just as Sega was getting back into the race by buying the ESPN license,EA did the smartest move ever,and bought the whole damn NFL license...which means,NO OTHER COMPANY CAN MAKE ANY NFL GAMES/TEAMS/PLAYER NAMES/STADIUMS/Ect..ect....untill this contract xpires in 5 years.....

    SEGA is now the largest gamming companies in the world . . . . well, the NEW conpany is. I bet they alreday noticed this before it happened. No worries on SEGA's part though.

    Any time us as consumers lose options it spells doom. EA can now put out whatever crap they want, slap Madden on it, and people will buy it beacuse it's the only game in town. What a load of shit. I knew I hated EA but now I downright loath them. What really sucks is the ESPN games were better and $30 cheaper then the EA garbage. What a sad day.

    I've never had any problems with EA outside of the MMO market, so I see no problem with this.

    They have plenty of good games... Hell, I just got finsihed playing NFSU2 5 minutes ago. ::::18::

    I usually liked Madden better anyway.. I did pick up ESPN this year instead, but that was only because of the $20 price tag. And at least there will be no shortage of people online with everyone on just 1 or 2 games instead of 5+. :P

    you gotta do what you gotta do to get to the top. Places like Wal-Mart never got where they are today because the cared what the consumer though. Your games arent gone, they just wont have NFL pasted every where.

    No...the games are gone....::::02::....with an exeption of Blitz!Who will make their own Stadiums...teams....players...EVERYTHING!And now,since NFL's not involved,they can make it as bone crushing as they want!!But...I doubt Segas gonna make a football game w/o the NFL license...

    Sega is NOT the largest company,EA could buy Sega any time they wanted to....Nintindos bigger than Sega,EA is,Ubisofts getting there,Activision,Segas up there,but not with those companys...

    i dont realy have a problem with this even though the games were almost as good as madden and a lot cheaper but all and all i always liked madden more but this might meen they could raise the price of madden 2006 because what other football game are we gonna buy and by football im talking about americain football for all of you people who would have said a soccer game even though all i know is fiffa and thats an ea gameimage

    damn, i hated maden, and i hated football till i played espn 2k5, that game owned for the xbox, not EA is friggen taking over the word. btw, i never liked MOH, CALL OF DUTY 100% BABY!

    Did you bother reading the rest of the thread?

    And I agree with the majority of the posters, this is BS. The NFL 2K/ESPN series owns Madden anyday. It's smooth, very easy to get into, even for a non-football fan. R.I.P. for 5 years ESPN Football... Sega!

    OOh,I love Madden!Its the best!!!I also liked BF:1942.Sims,and plenty more....

    But Call of Duty KILLS MoH....who the hell is by themselves and takes out a hole entire army?I mean cmon!Its so wack!In CoD your actually in Battles or Missions with TEAM MATES...unless they die...

    Grand, EA is slowly working toward gaining a monopoly on the gaming industry. They bought out poor westwood and MURDERED C&C and shut down Earth and Beyond. About the only companies that can stand against them are Sega, Vivendi Universal with Sierra, and Microsoft Games.

    Damn EA and thier conquest of buy-outs, DAMN THEM.

    I'm not sure how this could work, but maybe EA did this to gain money off of the other companies.  Sure EA bought out the license, but they could always charge a sublicensing fee to other companies, have them pay royalties, etc.  May just be a move for something like that.  EA has got to know that their sports games aren't that great.
