Population imbalance - question for beta players

Will it exist?  For example, you had WAR, where destro outnumbered order consistently...and most pve players went order, too.  Will it come down to the asmodians ending up with all the pvper's, and elyrions with all the pver's?  Or one side will have half again as much pop as the other on most servers?

Have you noticed any imbalances in the game already, in beta?

    Outside of finding a group and the economy there is no such thing. The  balaur are there to offset the population imbalance, works reasonably well.

    Population is controlled by "locking out" one faction if it get over populated (new players to the server will not be able to roll that race).  It unlocks when it gets back into balance.

    I don't know the true mechanics about it yet, but in the Abyss (where there is a fight for territorial control over Castles), at some times the Balaur may send a "Dreadgion" (or Balaur Carrier) that will target a specific Castle. That Castle is pretty much going to be be wtfpwnsteamrolled by them ;)

    Also I didn't know about the population caps, but the Rifts cap the amount of players that can invade opponent cities (it's not for the Abyss, but for the transport between Elyos and Asmodan halves of the planet), so you can't really zerg and camp enemy areas.

    Balaurs can be ally or enemy to both races, and their actions are random in Abyss battles.

    They will either attack both races, attack one race and not the other, or not show up at all.  They do not always help the losing side, this make the outcome of Abyss battles not easy to predict.  In normal abyss play, Balaur are considered enemies by default to both races.
