    Holy crap!! Forget EVE Online this affects everything! No more Gold Farmers anywhere the plague is gone!!

    I seriously doubt this will end gold farming. Its a service too many people want for it to just go away. Not to mention considering the sums involved including the support of the largest company this more probably addresses the Chinese govt wanting control of all that money,  and squeezing out competitors.

    True enough but it'll only be those crazy korean MMOs selling gold off their sites or selling licenses to other sites to sell it

    More than likely, you will see more western companies ( i.e. here in the States and in the EU ) getting into it now that there's a wide enough opening.

    No doubt this change will help to some degree but it wont stop farming. As long as there is demand there will be those all to ahppy to fullfill that demand.
