Questions! I see alot of pvp talk, and maps, and so on. And from E3 all i saw were a mention about one "instance" for 4ppl PVE with a boss in the end... is there even PvE in the game? Im afraid of this, everybody sitting in a city, w8ing for stuff, then you get a group and go into a instance. no world... Anything you can talk/spill about the world or how it works?
It's common knowldge that the world is instance based. There is no 'free roam' open world. For the cities, they plan to have auction houses, crafting, NPC vendors for things like armor, helms, dyes, etc. It should be no less lively as any other city's MMO. There's also a Virtual Reality Arena you can mess around in.
There is PvE, yes. They're objective based 'dungeon crawl' type maps littered with NPC's and giant robots. They showed off one of the PvE instances in the E3 videos.
Sorry, i did not know it was common knowlage that the game is instanced. guess im special
Anyway, im wondering if you get XP from both pvp and pve, but i guess that might be common knowlage also, ill try to find it.
But my biggest concern is that the PVE part is small, i can only compare to wow and aoc, and i get the feeling GA only got 1-2 places to go. i know its in alpha, but im still concerned... guess i have to go study all the information somewhere to answer my common questions.

I ment that 'common knowledge' comment more like it's one of the easiest things to figure out, I guess that came out wrong.
Yeah, you get XP in both PvP and PvE. Coin reward for victory, and in PvE you get loot (used for crafting) for killing bosses. They're going to be adding new maps, armor, and weapons all the time.
What about the poison medics, does a poison spec'd medic's weapons affect say droids, turrets, robots etc...?
Sorry for the dely, for whatever reason it wasn't letting me post.
Your answer is, a poison spec'ed medic is still able to do damage to turrets and driodes, but it's not as effective as another class. If a poisionous snake bit a comptuer, would it die? No, but it might leave a scratch. :]
It seems then, that the poison medic will be a very weak class, since it will not do much damage in a cyber world. Being a pvp based game damage over time won't help much either since most battles will be over quickly. So, little help in pve dungeons and too slow for for pvp. /sigh

Poison is a recon's wrost enemy. While poisoned, a recon can not restrealth. They have to run and find one of their own medics to heal them, so that takes them out of the fight for a little. Not to mention you can chuck a poison grenade on the objective point when everyone is spaming and help fight against the enemie's healing.
It's still very useful in PvP, and as far as PvE goes.. it's not ALL robots, there are NPC humans to be had.
Since i started digging about the game, i came up with that it plays like UT3, the quotes are everywhere, is it really that fast? is it comparable to UT3? or any UT game. (not thinking about hte MMO part, the FPS part)
@ Jrs77: It's all server side, so aim-botting isn't going to be an issue. I agree with you, I hate cheaters. A particular group of players in Alpha right now are so good, they get accused of cheating. My aim has gotten better now though, so their skill is achievable even by me (more of an MMO player with little FPS background.)
@ Gorgo: I personally never played UT3, I asked my friend who played a lot of UT games and also plays in the GA alpha with me. In her words, "GA is a little slower than UT3, and without all the insta-kills (such as headshots.)"
Hope that answers your questions, if not let me know. Keep the questions coming!

These two bits of information, if true, make me even more eager to give it a try. Thanks for the thread Zukan.
I have allways loved the GrenadeThrowers in all shooters, pipebombs, nades, all of it. Any weapon like this in the game? And if there is, is it classrestricted?
There are definitely grenade launchers of one form or another.
Will this game be subject of botting, or is the game absolutely safe from using aim-bots and stuff like that? EDIT: More precisely. Does this game use anything like PunkBuster or GameGuard, to deny of usage of hacks and cheats? The usage of bots/hacks/cheats is an absolute game-killer for PvP in MMOs.
Hi-Rez have stated that they'll be developing their own anti-cheat systems.
first off, i am really diggin the look of this game! but i am a bit wary on a few aspects:
1) is there a levelling system? if so what is the level cap? how does level-up work? do you get points to distribute into attributes and skills like in so many other titles? can you ruin a character with a bad build , or is it something like guild wars where you can respec and now be set up for a different playstyle (possibly for what your team wants to tackle next)?
2) you mention in a previous post about crafting and auction houses: this implies some sort of grinding... being for the loot through PVE to craft? how "loot" driven do you see this game as? is crafting very in-depth... like do you need to use PVE loot to make the components to make the end product that you need a schematic for in the 1st place... all with some set % chance of failure/ success?
3) is there multiple tiers of gear? (i guess this falls under the grinding aspect) multiple tiers of classes? multiclasses?
4) i read that all toons will share the user name, how many toons on one account? is there an account-wide storage receptacle?
5) how deep is the story? is there any lore/ backstory/ setting for people that would want to actually roleplay in the world?
6) (TLDR) how in-depth is character customization, and can you ruin your character by cutomizing like an idiot?
i'm sure you can't answer some of these questions due to the NDA, but anything you can answer would be greatly appreciated! overall i am very excited about the look and potential of this game... i'm tire of the old hotbutton skill spread.... standing in front of a mob hitting the # keys, hoping to get some awesome sword from the boss rat i just killed! it doesn't feel like your gettin in the game at all. hopefully i get selected for the CB so i can try it out myself to find the answers.

Are the dungeons like preset "themeparks" or do they become randomized?
Uhh... what?
I'm not sure what their plan is on that. They certianly could make it possible I suppose. You've stumped me.

Hey Gorgo, a good place to start is the Answers Centre at www.globalagendagame.com
For more detailed information, check the dev tracker on their forums, you can get through a lot of confirmed info with those two tools.

If it is a MMO themed UT3, then Huxley is a good game for you. Global Agenda is more comparable to the likes of TF2.
I have computers; they are fast.

You're welcome, Centhan. Global Agenda is a unique game, and I'm just trying to help people understand it better and give it a better shot. :]
Anyone else have a question?
What about character names. 1 word or first and last?
I have allways loved the GrenadeThrowers in all shooters, pipebombs, nades, all of it.

There are definitely grenade launchers of one form or another.
If you watch the gameplay videos, you'll see that it's single-word.
Hi-Rez have stated that they'll be developing their own anti-cheat systems.
Ive always been a forcefield freak since CoH and am definetly going to be playing robotic
How helpful are the forcfields and other gadgets to a team?
They're definitely useful. That's about as much as could be said without violating NDA.

Thanks, Aiiane for helping out with this thread. For those that aren't aweare Aiiane is also a long time Alpha Tester.
She's completely correct on the force fields. They're really handy to have, and a pain for the other team.
