I have A LOTRO Account. Is there any way to turn off all the adds? My God You would Swear Im not paying for the damn game...

And DDO is pretty good.. but LoTRO is better.
Not sure what you are talking about. Do you mean ads? There are no ads in LOTRO. Do you mean Turbine's game advertisement when the game launches for playing at 9.95 a month? That ad? That one ad that pops up for a couple seconds when you log in is that hard for you to deal with? Other then that there are no ads in LOTRO. People will complain about anything.

LotRO has no ads in it. The only thing that might be considered an ad is on the loading screen. Only thing that does is let you know of an upcoming update, etc.
Oh come on, there is a start up add. You fanboys are much too defensive.
That's always annoyed me, too. I have a lifetime sub and I own Moria, so stop trying to sell me anything...

It is annoying but it can be removed easily, its somewhere in your LOTRO folder. I dont think people are being too defensive, the OP talks about 'all the adds'. My guess is he is a hater with not much else to do but post pointlessness.
While I share your mild annoyance with the spash screen startup add, one add is not the same thing as "adds." The OP reads like someone playing a pay optional MMO like Dungeon Runners or Anarchy Online.

I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
You don't even have to mess with any folders or anything if doing those types of things worries you might get rid of the wrong thing. All you have to do is hit the Esc button and it skips it. Not sure what the big deal is.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

I must have missed something, I don't remember that from my three whole weeks trying out that game. There wasn't any delay though, I just fired up the game, waited a few seconds while it checked files then entered password and that was it. Is there more than one version or something like that?
Oh my God! Someone would have to go through the agony of hitting the Esc key? Turbine is asking to much, I will be cancelling my subscription today.

What a wierd topic.
I think he means the add in the launcher, u know the dwarf holding a big axe, and it says something like Lotro for only 9.99£.
Cant see its a problem, as long as theres no ingame adds they can put all they want in the launcher / on their website.
"sigh" I bet if it popped up offering free Booze, Sex and a Lifetime sub he would'nt complain ..... People eh dontcha just love their crap ....

In the top left corner of your keyboard there is a key called "Esc". If you press this key then it will dissapear!
