I am looking for a casual MMO to replace WoW with..
I always thought the game might be cool, but was worried there wouldn't be enough content/immersion to fill my large appetite. Seeing as the world is one big city, how is it and how is the pvp?

FFXIV on Behemoth, FFXI on Eden, and Gloria Victis on NA.

IF you want casual go buy a Wii. COH is ok for a while but gets boring really fast.
CoH is probably the most casual friendly MMo ever made.
PvP is kind of in a transition right now. It is kind of wierd right now, but they are making a lot of changes.
I couldn't imagine any reason to play this when there are two super hero games on the horizon.
I started playing again. You can easily hit 30 in a day or two doing Architect Farms. So its really easy to jump right into the action and make multiple alts and experiement with Archtypes. If you don't spend an hour at the Hero creation screen youre missing out. Its so fun just to customize the looks of your hero. This game is very casual friendly.
As far as playing now with Chamions Online and DC Universe, there is still 2 months until Champions and atleast a year for DC. Plenty of time to play CoX to pass the time.
CoH is nice enough. Keeps you busy. There is no rush for epic gear at endgame which might be good for balence and bad for those people seeking endgame content.
I'd suggest downloading the client at free times and give the trial a shot when it's downloaded.
Personnaly i can never stick on that game for more than a month. I need to upgrade gear and to have stats to look at. Still, i keep comming back every now and then.
-Would you like cheddar or swiss cheese?
-Yes.

Yeah, give the trial a test drive. When you first do the tutorial is will seem a little intimdating because its a lot different than other MMOs. I mean this is a Superhero Fantasy MMO, where as most MMOs out there are Dark Fantasy MMOs. So, the ways its played is slightly different, but not too much.
You wil pick it up in no time.
Play the different classes. I personally found the blaster to be the most fun, but for newbies... playing a scrapper (melee dps) is a good start.
Try the trial. You may find what you like. Also, the $9.99 for Good vs. Evil edition is hard to pass up, especially since it includes a free month of play.
Because neither of those games are actually out yet, and there's no guarantee that they'll be any good at all.
At least CoH, for all its flaws, has five years of stuff added to it, a fairly regular playerbase (not huge, but 130k or so isn't really all that small either), and a pretty good community. Oh and with the addition of the MA it's about as casual as you can get at the moment.
