The reward is you get to keep standing and helping your team push to victory, and the 'penalty' would be that when you die you're team suffers. You team getting killed is a big deal if you intend to win the map.

Thats it? Then that game is not for me since it wont make a big different if i play unreal tournament fast. I dont see that game as a pay to play. It claim that its pvp focus, but without a big risk, forget it. Im waiting for mortal online anyway. This is a real pk game. Thanks to posting an asnwer.
The big difference between Global Agenda and UT is at the end of the match, someone just lost their land (in GA). UT is just a shooter deathmatch game, but in Global Agenda the goal is to take of the the globe. The Chef Designer put it nicely and I'm paraphrasing because I don't have the exact quote, "It's like a game of risk, where you go into each battle and fight for it yourself."
Once Mortal Online fails, I hope you reconsider GA. =]

You're doing a poor job of explaining it, because most people don't really give a damn about losing land in an online game.
With the land, however, comes new technology/goodies to possibly enhance your character in some ways. That's what the OP would care about.
