Almost the same as my system and I've been running it for quite a while with no serious issues. You'll want to get the network installs for XP Service Pack 2 and 3 if you haven't aleady. Also, your virus scanner may not be playing nicely with GameGuard. You may need to add the TCoS client to your virus scanners exception list. What virus scanner are you using?

Are you able to run other Direct X games?

Yeah, I just wasted three gigs of download, too. I downloaded the game. Installed it. It launches. I click "start" and the GameGuard progress meter comes up, then a rectangular black window with some music comes up for about ten seconds and then the entire game just vanishes (no crash report -- nothing).

I'm on a dual quad-core Intel with 16gb of ram and an NVIDIA 8800 running 64bit Vista. Maybe I'll give the game a shot down the road when they've fixed things.

Guys, InOrder to Fix you must go inside Where the game installing the files, and search for another launcher.exe (search for another icon that will start the game) If the game includes more thant one, use the 2nd one. Diffrent launchers will have diffrent effects Im thinking :s

The game will not work because the game is dead. They pulled the plug months ago.

I know it sucks, but that's the truth.

After a few years of service in various incarnations, Playdom's Chronicles of Spellborn MMO is calling it quits and will be shutting down its servers next month. Recent server outages are unrelated, apparently, but the game, which started out as a pay-to-play title and then redeveloped as a free-to-play game after the original developers went bankrupt, will be done for good at the end of September, according to an email from a company representative. The game still had a small but active community, and they've started the usual Internet petition to try and keep it online.
