IGG; Scam artists or just theifs???

This is a posting in regards to my time with ToP! I have been playing for well over 18 months, have put thousands into building not one but TWO decent characters, as well as numerous lower leveled ones. I was a VIP member on one account, and had the option on a second account as well as my lower accounts. VIP is supposed to mean, as in all games, you receive a bit of special treatment.
I had BD gems, a torso, lvls 4-6 of UGs, the best armor I could, tons of IMP items and credits/IMP left. I was hacked in Oct, and I am positive I know who it is. I was lucky enough to get in and talk to LiveSupport when it happened, although their story was that it came from my IP. Yessssssss makes sense I would hack myself, and a word of warning to those using vent!! Once I| learnt this person was taking/using my credits and IMP I got really really angry and started trying to get ahold of LS once again. NO I did not change my password, in my mind, once you lose everything you own, you really have nothing left to lose, right?? Well IGG has consistently hung up on me. I have not been able to talk to anyone, either by using email, msn or live support. The funniest thing about my msn IGG person, I believe he blocked me after I was hacked, in all honesty I have not seen him on since!!
A word of warning to those about to enter the world of ToP. DONT!!! Any game who gives the impression of 'oh VIP will get preferential treatment!' isnt worth even giving one penny to. I will never again trust a gaming company such as this, simply because they do not follow through. They do not take care of cheaters, hackers or anything, as well their VIP people, I find, are the ones that were stupid enough to put money into this game.....
There are some really fun games that are totally free and I am hoping my new choice stays free. Otherwise I wont be playing it long either.....
Run, dont just walk away from this game. Dont let them rip you off like so many of my friends. Put your money into something fun, burn it if you find you have too much and are tempted to play this game!!

i feel for you but tbh this could have happened to anyone on any site to do with money online. people get scammed and i dont think igg are to blame however their customer support is very lacking from what i've heard and your story just comfirms it.
no offence but don't you think it was kinda silly to spend thousands on a silly game? personally i wouldn't spend a cent on upgrading my caracter and so forth in a free game even if could get vip treatment...
in saying that you should kick whoever hacked into your accounts ass and demand your money back
pyrate, thanks.... I believe because I can support games for people who maybe cant afford it, i should pay into what Im loving. Its something I dont have a problem with, it just ticks me right off that I cant get the support promised. There are those who havent put in a dime, and had all their stuff replaced after being hacked, and those of us who pay in dont get sweet fa, INCLUDING LIVE SUPPORT!!
As for kickin ass on who did it, believe me, I have thought about it. He denies it, but I know for a fact who did it. And he still sux as a player, even with my stuff, rofl....

I'm guessing the msn guy might've blocked you cause you seem like you IM'd him about 50 times a second. Seriously though there's a difference between supporting something you're into and going overboard. Slow down on your spending in-fact if you've got all that money why not play a p2p game? You could get all the best gear and all the content for under 200 bucks in the time you spent paying thousands just to upgrade in this one game. And you can donate a little extra money whenever you feel like supporting people.
Just seems a little silly to me that someone would pour thousands into a game like this that might be dead in a few years or less. We all know how "well" pirate MMORPGs do. I guess thats why in this game they didn't take pirating so seriously.

This isnt about my spending habits, or what I put into the game. Its about the lack of customer support, the knowledge needed to run a halfway decent game and their lies about VIPs having anything more then an emptier bank account. Im warning people, as I know I am not the only one in this world who puts money into games they enjoy. This is about IGG being one more gaming company that promises tons and gives little. Any game that is goin to begin selling thier unique items in their in game mall, well that should be warning enough. ONce you have killed bd over 25 times, you get a little bit upset at a choice like that. Im sorry, I just really think IGG is all about the money and in that time I have played, their customer service has gone from not so bad, to terrible to pretty much nil for everyone I know.

Cash shops are nothing but scams themselves which is why 60% of free games with cash shops have terrible or non existant customer service. You could name dozen of games with cash shops that are run by money hungry companies which is why they implement a cash shop instead of monthly payment.
Sorry for your loss, but lesson learned. And I hope everyone else that reads this thread becomes wary of things like this.
Remember this people: If you have to "buy" your skill, you're not 'VIP'. You're no better than a hacker or cheater. In FPS games you pull out your wallet, buy a cheating device and become godlike. In MMOs w/ Cash Shops you pull out your wallet and buy an uber character. Same thing.
They owe me 100pts for a game I play there and every time I talk to support they just tell me I got the points. I think we in The West expect people we give our money to to care. Guess it is different in China. Maybe that is why they have a rotten food supply and wide spread corruption. They just don't care about others.
Um... I think the U.S. outranks any other nation on the corruption scale. And the U.S. is one of the only nations that doesn't offer free health care to everyone (we in the U.S. have to have pay private insurance companies). When you have extreme capitalism in a nation you have a bunch of people that don't care. So I don't know where people get the idea that the U.S. is a bunch of carebears. I'm not bashing either, I'm just stating facts.

Retarded people like you think that the US is denying you free healthcare because they are greedy. Who has to pay for that healthcare? You do. Rich people from socialist countiries fly to the US instead of getting treatment in free hostpitals because they are terrible. Look it up on Google. The US has the BEST healthcare system in the world because it is based on capitalistic ideals. Ever been to the DMV or other government office? How do you think the government will handle healthcare. Also, what makes you think we are more corrupt than any other country? That is just wrong and there is no way, even if you were educated in political science and social matters, that you could prove that. More unsubstantiated, baseless claims by people with very little political knowledge, on a video game forum. You fail.
Haha this whole post makes me laugh. I'd love to sit and and name the 12 or so politicians that recently went to prison or are under investigation due to them breaking the law. And thats just within the past year. Who doesn't agree that the US has the best healthcare in the world? You're just throwing stuff out there that doesn't make any sense inorder to prove a point which you don't have and never will. The free hospitals aren't terrible. Have you ever been outside the country? Rich people come to America because America HAS MORE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND IS HOME TO THE BEST DOCTORS IN THE WORLD. Its common sense, bet that idea just flew past you huh? That's about the only thing you can thank America's way of handling healthcare for. It gets better technology and better research on cures because it has more funding because people pay for their own healthcare. It doesn't mean the other hospitals suck, they can buy the technology later on once america discovers it.

Also in terms of corruption you never even mention Africa and you say you're politically aware? The only difference between Africa's corruption and America's is that Americans are smarter, hide it better, and don't kill nearly as many people. Of course there hasn't been a huge corrupt abomination of a leader anywhere in Africa for awhile. Not to mention you kinda implied that capitalistic ideals keep America ahead. I hate to tell you, but its the unions among other organizations that keep those same "capitalistic ideals" from going overboard and completely bringing down the whole country. Yep those same "capitalistic ideals" that keep some innocent and deserving people from getting the care they need when they are sick and they end up dying. America cares
