This is the first time i have played SWG since the NGE. The game isnt terrible, but its not the same. I'm trying to keep and open mind, who knows? Maybe I might enjoy it? But wait, whats this? 9 out of 10 times when i log in my computer locks up. I know my computer can handle it. I've updated my video card drivers, I've even deleted my entire SWG folder and redownloaded it and the same thing keeps happening.
Please, if anybody has heard of this and knows a fix, please post it here. I really want to love this game agian, but at the moment i cant even give it a shot. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with crashes after log in.
You can get help from a SoE Techincal Support Representative on issues like this over on the General Technical Support forum. There is also a more specific Performance Issues (Video, Sound, Crashing) forum.
I often reference the Technical Support FAQ which contains the following more detailed posts that may help in your situation:
Crashes
- Crashing to Desktop (CTD)
- I crash after loading my character into the game
- I crash during the loading screen
- I crash after pushing play
- I crash after double-clicking on the Launchpad
- I crash or freeze and get a Blue Screen (BSoD) or the computer restarts itself
- I crash when I try to respec

Thanks badger, i followed the steps listed for my problem, and it actually seemd to work. Now maybe i can give this game an honost shot.
