   hmmmm. Toughy. I'd proboly make a light with the knife by hitting it hard against the torch which eventually creates fire.

  Since the torch is now lit, I'd proceed in inching in, knife and torch in hand, back on the wall, checking for potential entrances and exits.

  *You find that the walls are made of dry wood,
  
  The knife seems to be made of a metal substance with a hardwood handle,
  
  as the torch on the wall been lit, by means that would have been deemed impossible
  
  if it was not with the aid of a miracle, something you feel to have been a source of magic,
  
  by examining the room, all you come to see is a drawer, a covered up bed,
  
  and a window above the bed, with its black curtains closed before it.

  upon the drawers stand a mysterious framed mirror,
  
  the frame itself covered with runes of the ancients,
  
  a stirring comes to be on the bed yet ends as fast as it came, You are not alone,
  
  unknown to whom or what it may be that lies on the bed
  
  as he/she/it been covered up by a blanket
  
  yet seen it can be that it's a humanoid that lies upon it's back,
  
  the beings chest heaving up and down,
  
  indicating that there are two orbs upon the breathing chest which the blanket nicely covers.
  
  (Could it be the princess? who knows)

  You find yourself standing in the doors opening,
  
  the newly created light from the torch seems not to disturb whom or what ever lies in slumber.*
