so i had a chat with the developers today, and they mentioned how they are getting new servers set up as we speak so they will be able to handle more players
Looks like a fun game. However i couldn't imagine paying a monthly fee for it. it reminds me too much of games like Titan Quest and Diablo 2. Although that's not a bad thing at all it's just not something i could see myself paying 10-15 a month for.

It's a F2P game. There is going to be a store, you can read more about it here.

Thanks for the link. I'll do some more research on it.

It's actually alot more like Ultima Online than it is diablo/titan quest. The only similarity it really shares with diablo imo is the graphics , and I don't even really agree with that to be honest. It bears alot of similarities to UO , it feels like UO's younger brother.
Guys, how do the zones work? from the looks of the map on the website, it seems like youd be going from zone to zone having to load in between.
is it an open world? or isit like the map shows, a series of zones of exactly the same size?
if so, how big is each zone?
The zones are not all that large individually, there isnt any loading screen between zones, you instantly jump from one to the next.
the world feels huge when you are running around through it, and its really really easy to get yourself hopelessly lost running through other peoples property (which i find to be great fun )
ok, do the zones blend seamlessly together? or do you have to go through a doorway or something? is there a clear border to each zone?
another thing, are all the zones the same size? how big is the plot of land in the realm creater compared to a whole zone?
the zones which you see on the map are only the zones which you can build stuff on, each one of those has one plot of land on it (which is the size of the realm editor land and at the center of the zone, its probably about a half to a third the size of the zone) to get from zone to zone you follow the paths until they look like they are going into a dark part of the forest, in which case you appear coming out of a dark spot on the other side (it is instant for me, though i do have a very fast computer and cant vouch for everyone)
zones which arent for player created content are usually somewhat bigger. So while the game is by no means seamless, there arent any loading screens or any downtime, you just run from one to the next, i actually find it kind of cool and im very critical with loading screens in games
Weird, well its been ages since ive started out. Severing and Battle tactics was the first thing I skilled up. So perhaps I went through the samething. I know when you first start out with magic you fail awhole lot when you try a new spell. Perhaps this is something similar Are you fighting undead btw in that starter area?
I've actually been down in the dungeon over there a lot (I like smashing the vases and stuff that spawn there). Also, my AGI I think is around 5X... 51-52 I believe. That might have something to do with it. I've been leveling up battle tactics the best I can (finally got to 15) and switched to an axe, so... hopefully that'll hit better.
And sadly, I only learned about the meditation/regeneration feature last night : Definitely can't wait for a guide... though the community is wonderful and helpful, pointing people in the right direction via a guide would be better.
*is saving up for a freaking stake from the freaking banker who wants too freaking much for them... bah!*

I know! I was speaking with several of the guides a few nights ago, and they told me it was only like 500-800... they didn't know the price had jumped and got my hopes up! I heard though that some of the other bankers in the game may have them cheaper... are those bankers listed on the map with the $ on the area?
Yeah isnt the price like $1000-1400 now for a stake? something like that.
When I started realms were free and didnt cost a penny. Boy that woulda be awful if we had to pay $1000 for a realm back then. Items that dropped only sold for a $1 back in those times to NPCs. Woulda had to farm thousands of items to buy one heh
I had to buy a stake and I panicked cause I only had like $159 in my pack. Then I just happened to check my vault and remembered I had thousands in there saved up and purchased a new stake with that
Yeah Meditation/Concentration/Invigorate/Reju are all a must to refill the bars. Think next patch they say concentration will be sped up

The bank in the starting area is selling them for $5500-7000 right now. But items that drop (gear, weapons) sell for about $10-$25. Still not the same as free, but it just gives me an excuses to kill undead things more

Perhaps the influx of people has the worried that with the new land they would bring it would bog down the server or create some unseen problems so they have hiked up the price of land to slow down the developement of the landmass untill they can get better servers or more of them.
I wanna get in and play this but it's always closed. Kind of frustrating.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

So there's no more open accounts? I've been trying to register all day today. I guess they aren't taking anymore. *sigh*. Can anyone assist me. This thread have really got me excited and I do have the free time to play it. If there are any other open accounts please let me know.
Thanks
MMORPG played in order played: Sims Online, WoW, CoX, EQ2, LinksRealm, LOTRO,TOR...and counting
A sandbox MMORPG made specifically for adults is too much to pass up. Thank you for this thread. I'll be camping that registration page whenever I get the chance.
Normally Item Malls are an instant turn-off for me, but their explanation is so satisfying that, as long as I like the game enough, I might even consider buying something from it in the future just to support it.

I hope we will still be on one server
yea everyone should still be on one realm
