ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., (February 3, 2009) - True Games Interactive, an international publisher of multi-player online games, has launched a brand new website for its highly anticipated Online action MMORPG, Warrior Epic (www.warriorepic.com). Along with many new features to the website, True Games is proud to announce that it is now accepting sing-ups for players who hope to be part of the upcoming closed beta test for the game. The closed beta test will only have a limited number of spots available so those interested in being part of it are encouraged to sign up now at www.warriorepic.com for a chance to qualify.
"It's an exciting time for both True Games and Possibility Space as we see all the elements of our work on Warrior Epic coming together," said Jeff Lujan, Founder and Chairman of True Games Interactive. How much will Warrior Epic cost to play?
Warrior Epic is micro-transaction based; meaning there is no charge to download and no monthly fee required to play. However, there will be a variety of purchase options (such as double EXP potions, exclusive clothing, and much more) for those who wish to further enhance their player experience. A complete list of micro-transaction items will be available as we get closer to the launch of the game.
Another item shop game, no thanks.
Micro-transaction games seem to allow players to "buy their way to the top!" Will Warrior Epic fall into this unfair pattern?
Definitely not! We here at True Games Interactive are seeking to eliminate this common misconception that follows micro-transaction based games. In order to balance the playtime availability for all types of players, convenience items such as double-exp potions will be available for purchase. However, anything along the lines of "broadsword of one-hit kills" would never be available for purchase through micro-transactions.
doesnt mean its crap...doesnt hurt to try it out..will only cost a few megs/gigs on ur pc...
Does anyone else see a large similarity with this game and Guild Wars? Minus the world to travel in, everything else seems to be following the Guild Wars mold. Not sure if that is good or bad, but reading there forums and this one beta tester touting the game as being innovative made me laugh.

You have to love the ridiculous spin these developers try to put on their games, as if double experience potions are not buying your way to the top.
Sorry just another f2p where money DOES buy your way to the top of the heap.
Warrior Epic is nothing like Guildwars. It's lobby system is actually closer to Diablo 2's.
Yes, I find the game rather innovative, laugh all you want, but I played it at least. You, on the other hand, bash the game from a low resolution trailer and a couple screenshots...
Also, Guildwars didn't invent the "heavily instanced" genre. Phantasy Star Online works exactly the same way: meet players in town, group up for instanced missions.

Wow, way to assume so much from my little query. I hardly bashed the game and I didn't claim to play the game or say that Guild Wars was the first to have instancing. I only asked if anyone else could see the similarity with Guild Wars on this. Like the downloading on demand of content. The free to play aspect.
I never said this was bad. I only insinuated that this isn't innovative, based on what I was shown in the videos. Show me better videos and innovative ideas, and I'll give you better input.
