If you're familiar with EVE's bounty system then you know exactly what I'm talking about. In EVE, if a character has a low enough security raiting (a red in UO, basically) then other players can place a bounty on their head. When another person looks at said criminal's photograph they'll see the word "WANTED" scrawled across it along with the amount payable to the first person to lob off his virtual head (or jettison him into space, as it were).

I'd rather have the UO bounty system. You get killed by a person, they ask if you want to put a bounty on the head, then you type in how much you want to put towards it. If you have a bounty on your head, the local boards on the bank will have your name on it. As time goes by, If the player is good enough, the bounty keeps adding up until someone turns in your head. Oh how I miss those days.
Oh yes, bounty systems work perfectly.
Big, bad player PKs some people and gets a bounty put on his head. Once said player gathers a large enough bounty, he has a friend kill him, collect the bounty, and they split it 50/50.
Since the good, the bad , the ugly..this should be well known ..hehe
Why the need of official game support..i am sure it will get organized by the the playing community somehow..

I would just go to a Merc clan and tell them who i want dead. And then pay half now and half later.
So no bounty system for me.

It just wouldn't work as people would want it to. It would be easily exploited making it a worthless mechanic to add to the game. In my opinion, its not worth messing with.
This would be the best system. Beside that, putting a bounty on someone head just seems a wast of money. A bigger bounty would only serve there ego, nothing else. If you want someone killed who killed you, either do it yourself or do it yourself...with some friend helping you out.

That may work if its one player, if you can find him/her? And if you wanna spend time looking?
But if you wanna avenge a group or a clan......i would go to a Merc or a Assassin clan. Give them money and just wait for the PM telling me they got ganked : )
Dying is trivial so what is the use? Unless you know for a fact that the person got looted BIG time its not worth 2 gold.

Top 10 most wanted get bounty preset...addl stats/temp skill perhaps...
Bounty preset at 0.5 value of the victims approx armor/wep value(a.h), if NA then base price based on material cost, with rarity multiplier.
Fully lootable corpse...wep/armor can only be turned in for bounty, cannot be equipped...
Loot items turned in at a.h for resale....Commission may b....

Who needs a friend?? Most of them probably had multiple accounts anyway so they just used a 2nd account and kept it all to themselves.
