So GOA folks sended emails , with survey "Why did you leave WAR?"
It is something like this:
We've noticed that your Warhammer Online account is not active anymore. Alas, the War still rages everywhere and your departure has left a hole in the frontline defenses. Would you please take a few minutes to complete this survey and tell us why you chose to leave the game ? We value your feedback as it will allow us to continue to improve the game experience for everyone.

Mythic's continued defense of their choice of GOA as the European distributor is laughable. They continually bumbled DAoC and continue that legasy with War.

I have a theory that the people complained so bad in the survey that the server actually collapsed out of pure shame.

Same email here, and the survey server was not responding. This is a sad, sad joke.

They ask for a survey then make players unable to *take* it?
y well they quite incompetent.. we already know that.
But.. their survey was working yesterday. I did it hehe.
I'm guessing (hoping) that mythic got locked into a contract with GOA due to not having anyone else to do european service prior to EA buying them.
Because if they did this on purpose after EA bought them...well...then I guess they are just stupid.
Still, they have worked with them for many years and they know their incompetence. Surely it isn't so hard to find someone else, Europe is big.
No, I really wonder what's behind this, maybe MJs brother in law is a big shot there or something?
Even if they have a very good deal they are losing a lot of players because this and in the end they will end up badly. Most people I know who still play WAR have either bought a US version or quited.
Games Workshops Warhammer is really big in Europe so the IP have many fans, the game should logically been bigger here than US.
Got the same mail from GOA as if they don`t know why there have been a massive exodus.One thing though we cannot put all the blame on GOA because the flawed design of WAR is Mythic's work.

I got this email and was actually able to take the survey. It wouldnt surprise me if half the people experiencing issues like the OP is due to GOA somehow managing to mess even this up,and overloading the server its using.
The survey was pretty much the usual 'why arent you playing anymore?',but unfortunately it only offered 1 choice answers for a lot of it.
You couldnt for example say "I left because of: lackluster PVP,nightly CTDs,horrible optimisation,lag issues,skill bugs and bland graphics",you'd instead have to choose 1 of those reasons. There was also no option to state you'd left because of GOAs horrendous service and creaking servers,but perhaps that would be a little too much to swallow
Well if WAR goes well in US and not in Europe, you can pretty much put the blame on GOA.
We all know what happened with the preorder early launch and all the weirdo without comunication server management, plus delays, lack of public relations.
Of major importance is the fact that simply and pretty much most ppl do no trust GOA. Most people in Europe dont trust french companies on the first place, much less a company that belong to France Telecom wich is controlled directly or not by the French Gov.
Mythic should have though of that before deciding to 'bury' their european expectations right from the start like they did.
