I suggest you try Atlantica Online. If all you want to do is have crafting, and like the FF style battle system. You can craft 99.9% of all items in Atlantica Online. There's only like 8 weapons and some liscenses you cannot craft, but other than that you can craft it all!
EQ2 - The best of anything isn't crafted and mid-level crafted has almost no profit margin.
EVE - End game guilds craft end-game ships, it takes an individual years to build up a profitable crafting system. This is still your best bet but dont expect to hit lvl 70 and craft epix.
SWG is fail. It had all the right ideas but Sonys refusal to merge the completely baron servers leaves a shell of a game.

Try Rohan Online. Its kinda like Diablo 2's crafting where you collect items with stats and then mod it with orbs. The possibilities are endless, and to make it even better you can combine 2 of the same types of weapons and armor together increasing stats or adding more to the same. Its really fun to play.

There are no games out with meaningful crafting.
