EverQuest II: Beta Contest Update

As most of you are well aware, MMORPG.com will be holding the drawing for the North American phase of our EverQuest II contest - where we will give out 15 betas to some very luck members at 9PM EDT!

We are anticipating our servers will get heavily overloaded - so as usual we have setup a status page on an offline server.  To view the contest status in real time you can check this page:

http://contests.mmorpg.com/eq2beta_winners.cfm

This page will show the list of winners once they are selected - shortly after 9PM EDT today.

    How will we confirm if we are selected? Will it be in our private MMORPG box...and like a link we click to activate....if servers are loaded that could favor people with faster connections =P....but is that the most efficient way of doing it?

    If you are selected you will get an email at your main account as well as your MMORPG.com account.  The message will contain a link and a ticket number.  You will need to enter that ticket number at the link provided.  Note that the page will also be hosted on an offline server for best performance.

    I've entered this contest but im from the UK, so the contest drawing is tommorow for me right? on the 16th?

    I wouldn't want to go to bed and wake up with a "You've been issued a winning ticket!" message in my inbox and it be too late for me to claim it.. its happened before lol..

    Sorry if this was stated elsewhere, but when will we be able to download/play the beta account after claiming our winning ticket.

    EDT is UTC -4 hours

    EST is UTC -5hours

     

    For European Contestors ... CET is UTC+1 and CEST is UTC+2

    Atm it's CEST in Belgium, Holland, France ...

    It is basically New York time...which is currently EDT.  It is EST when daylight saving time is not in effect.

    I'm so pleased they have made an offline page for major contests.  This should help relieve alot of stress on this site, and make it alot easier for people to check the list of winners.

    Dont lose hope or it will happens to you too ... I never won anything yet since im a member ... so I somewhat didnt expected to won ... but guess what I did won but didnt confirmed in time ... so keep hope it might happen to you :P
