Need help getting the most from my HD4870

SomeOldBlokeSomeOldBloke Member UncommonPosts: 2,167

I'm currently playing WAR on my 20" Monitor (@1680x1050) and I know I can get better graphics but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Can anyone give me any hints or advice?

System: E8500, 8Gb DDR2 1066 and Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit.

Thanks.

Only thing you can improve is AA and AF in your ATI control panel.

Set AF and AA to maximum and the game will look much better.

Other then that you can't do sht except the normal ingame settings.

If performance is what you want, I heard 4870s overclock like crazy.

oh sorry i missed out the 4870 bit in the title :p

    go to catalyst controle center.

on the left click on 3D and then turn AA and AAF to max ^^

Use 'ATI Tool' and 'ATI Tray Tool'

ATI Tool lets you overclock & set the fans to run permanently.

ATI Tray Tool gives you the save options as catalyst but in a much more organised and manageable format like one-click profiles.

Actually ATI Tray Tools gives you more options then Catalyst Control Center does.
