It doesn't bother me but a lot of people seem to get aggravated by colored text. As long as the color isn't so bright that it hurts your eyes or so dark that you can barely read it, it should be fine.

It's fine. I don't know why people let things like that bother them. I do find it strange when people use text so dark that it barely shows up on the black background, but I solve that by not reading it. Happiness all around!
I like my soilent green text. I don't think it's all that bright and I have yet to hear anybody complain about it.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

green is fine, i can read it without hurting my eyes. the only color that hurts my eyes is red.

None of the colors really bother me.
It's just the walls of text that I despise.
I've used orange for my text for quite some time now, and I've not got any comments about anyone being bothered about it.
