DVI - HDMI Adapter PLEASE HELP (free cookies!)

BalterBalter Member Posts: 1,015

I have a question i can't seem to find an answer to.

I have an eVGA 8800GT and i tried to connect it to my TV via the VGA input on my 32" LCD tv.

Nothing happened.

I read up and found it could be because the 8800 line doesnt support overscan, which is needed to support video card to TV hookups.

So my question is, if i use one of these DVI - HDMI adapters, will my 8800gt work with my TV? (as my TV has 2 HDMI inputs)

(This is the adapter *CLICK HERE*)

Thank you.

My build: Sapphire Radeon HD 4850, Asus P5GC-MX/1333 Motherboard, 4gb G.SKILL DDR2 667MHz RAM, Core 2 Duo e7200 CPU, 250gb Western Digital SATA Harddrive, Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit.

I assume you have an HDMI-HDMI cable. Otherwise it should work. I own a 8800 GTS and I bought one of these (CLICK HERE) which would also work for you.
