Defiler Wraith Form

I haven't played since release but thinking of coming back. I was thinking of making a Defiler but for choosing a race, does the wraith form still change you into a human regardless of the caster's race?

To answer your question, yes it still turns you into a human. in wraith form, but you are surronded by a dark cloud and no one can see the form. so you really look like a storm cloud running around. Looks pretty cool.
