I did not pre-order.
I wasn't going to play it.
I'm so HAPPY that i got bored Friday and picked this game up. I have been searching for a game that would make my MMO cells come back to life since i quit EQ a few years back. Failure after failure left me wanting. I want no longer. I absolutely love this game.
Here's how i compare some of its aspects to other games.
Graphics - Better than WoW but worse than LOTRO. But then it has to be worse to accomodate the big RvR fights. You just can't expect servers to perform with intense textures. I'll take the performance over looks any day.
PVE- PVE kind of reminds me of LOTRO. They seem to have taken the better qualities of all PVE games and incorporated them into the game. I've never seen PQ's before and i gotta say that was a stroke of genius.
PVP- Beats every other game hands down. It's exciting, it's fun and i have seen no lag.
The storyline is Warhammer so ofcourse it's wonderful. I'd put it's story quality on par with LOTRO.
To me it appears to be a hybrid of DAOC, WoW and LOTRO with the best parts of each of those games incorporated into it. It's going to be very successful and i'd recommend this game to anyone.
