In my humble opinion, all those changes SOE did to EQ2 made the game MUCH better than it was originally. Looking forward to Shadow Odyssey...
I agree
When EQ2 first came out my guild and I tried it, played it for a few months but gradually everyone left becauee it just wasn't very fun at the time. It required a group to be able to kill a scarecrow or a small group of little beetles in TS for heavens sake. Now I and most of my guild are back and we have group hunts 2-3 times a week.
I can understand some old players are more Hardcore and want a game more like EQ was in the early days were if you don't have a group all the time you can't do anything, but I'm guessing thats a fairly small niche. I'm glad EQ2 isn't as easy a wow (IMO) , but I'm also happy its not a you must group/raid 100% of the time to accomplish anything game.
