Ok, i laughed so much my lunch almost came back up.
He he, that was funny.
But he completely missed the point with EvE.
That was a great review, I love his reviews even more when I am a fan of a game because he always seems to think the exact opposite of me. (which is the point of his Satire)

Plus there's only like 2 games in the world that he likes, he's a funny man though.

The game I found completely boring.
To get to any of the fun stuff requires lots of training.... Which is time based, something I completely thought was stupid.
I do think it a good game, for those who are willing to put the time into it....
just not for me tho.
To much travel time... time based skill leveling... no instant gratification early on in the game.
He has some good points but also he shits on the points I like about EVE.
Just watched it and, in all honesty, I agree with him. I could never get into it just because it was so boring. Well made, but boring.
THat review of eve was glorious.... so glorious that i used the word glorious. Praise to the man that points out eve is fucking garbage.
In all honesty he had more patience then me because i turned it off when i relaized my first skill took 2 or 3 hours to train. I dont understand why people love that game so much.

When that hit I had 3 friends send me the link almost immediately as I tend to rant about how good Eve is. I love ZP and wouldn't have him review it any other way. The ships being f'ing backwards shooting at each-other was funny. And the line about Eve advertising on his site and it being a challenge was pure win.
ZP is awesome and to anyone who doesn't think so you need to watch his other reviews. And to all the hardcore Eve fans (of which I also consider myself) take it with a grain of salt, watch his other reviews, you'll be laughing your ass off, promise.

Anyone who doesn't see some truth in that video is in denial. This one quote sums it up,
"The guy with the biggest boot wins"
The fanboys can get on their soapboxes about "Zomg, player skill > all" but in reality fights are predetermined and epically boring. Then they start using their usual scapegoats and excuses such as, "Trial isnt long enough, need to join a corp, EVE isnt for you because you're not as hardcore as us...blah blah'
They either need some new material or to realize that EVE isn't the bee's knees.

its obvious that you don't understand something that you played long enough to.. look at a skill training. odds are you played for less than an hour. it shouldn't take someone that long to open their skill menu but, i'll be generous.
so while you are allowed your opinion, yours is based off NOTHING and you just seem to have unwarrented contempt for it because it doesn't play like everything else. to praise something just because it bashes EVE, when so many people all around bash EVE all the time is kind of silly.

If you don't think he is right spot on the money then give a reason. But why should I argue when the basis of mmorpgs themselves are fucking garbage?
Normal mmo- 20% extreme fun, 80% boring what the fuck am I spending my time doing this shit for?
Eve- 10% shit my pants fun, 90% boring what the fuck am I spending my time doing this shot for?
I find little reason to ever spend such ludacris amounts of time in an online world. And the only reason I see why other people do is this, insecurity, boredom, and lack of any real accomplishments in real life. Not that all of us are failures, but rather the misguided youth of our facebook generation trying to find value in any way possible.

It was an entertaining piece, even if totally off the mark IMO.
But EVE is an acquired taste, and it takes a real willingness on the part of the player to want to learn it and a desire to master it.
If you don't have those qualities, EVE won't be for you.
That's OK, plenty of other games out there for folks to enjoy.
But we who do like EVE and understand the beauty of it are the lucky gamers.....

Absolutely priceless... also, if all you ever do is play the 14 day trial and never join a player corp (like he did) he's spot on. But that misses 99% of the point of EVE

Its the reason the vast majority of us play EVE, whether its solo piracy, small gangs, FW, 0.0 alliances, Empire Wars, Suicide Ganks, Can flipping or whatever...... the 'crack' of the game is the PvP, killing other people. To review EvE without it is as absurd as reviewing AoC based only on Tortage.... but hang on......
As someone who has played for a few weeks, i gotta say, he missed the entire point of this game. Maybe it's because i've always thought this guy was fucking annoying but his reviews are always crap. I cant even begin to point out the reasons why this guy isn't funny or worthwhile to listen to.
