SzarkSzark News ManagerMember Posts: 4,420

The folks at EVE Online have posted a notification that the EVE Store will be unavailable today as they upgrade their service, and brink in their much anticipated Collectible Battleship Models.

This Friday, August 29th, the EVE Store will be disabled, but don’t worry, within 48 hours after that we will roll out a brand new store* to satisfy all your needs for EVE paraphernalia. The new store will be based in North America and our new carrier will be FedEx, allowing us to offer a reliable shipping service with the ability to track your packages.

The new store will herald in the arrival of the long-awaited Collectible Battleship Models!

The EVE Online Battleship Models are constructed from a solid resin foundation and are mounted, ready for display, on a base emblazoned with the associated faction logo.

At about $150 buck a piece,   I don't think they are going too sell many.  Now if they were a model kit that you build yourself, and sold for $50, they might sell, but this is only for Eve Onliners anyways so it can't be THAT big a run to start with...

Many decisions I love from CCP but other decisions well, the smilies tell it best!

$124.99 is a bit expensive, but I would be willng to pay that price if it was just that.

    However...

Shipping with FedEx from the US to Denmark plus all the import fees and sales tax/VAT is going to make the actual price more like $250 in my case... and that's just not worth it to me.

I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
