You know what I hate about WAR?

The wait for it to come out. Why can't it be september already?

Bland looking environment; it just doesn't have all that much atmosphere, especially buildings/towns.

Crappy crafting/economy; I watched the crafting explanation video and it really seems rubbish, not to mention you can't even craft clothes, mounts, houses, armor and weapons. How the hell are we supposed to make money, or is it just like WOW where you sell loot and resell NPC sold stuff?

who needs money? you just need to bash people's heads in.

WAR is not a crafter's game, its a PvP game.

Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.

So what? You think potions aren't tradeable? You think talismans aren't tradeable? Oh, and there won't be a bunch of crap items in there that people sell because they grinded them to get to the good stuff.

Bland looking environment? Grays, browns, blacks, some blue skies but not too many. This is a war-torn world, not happy rainbow pony land. Go look somewhere else if you don't like a dark, Gothic, 16th century European setting. That has alot of humor actually...but "blandness" is a matter of opinion so your loss.

A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

I'd be very happy if the game was less economy/item  centric than most MMOS. Who wants to have to spend hours and hours using a virtual ebay, or grinding to get game cash? I wouldn't mind if the economy amounted to barter between the trade skill potions and talismans, and the gear was all no drop.

I want droppable armor, but only for RPing. I don't want to walk around in my armor while I'm in the tavern having a drink.

Would almost try to say this must be an nda breach, but obviously this person knows not what they speak of lol.  I seriously do not think anyone would say that hte Inevitable City is bland looking.

Hell I havent seen the game and I doubt the High Elf lands could be bland.

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms

Haha, well WoW has crafted helicoptors, and motorcycles () from engineers.

Pretty much all the WAR naysayers ARE NOT PVP'ers, but rather everquest fairy boys who can't wait for their NEW HAIRSTYLES and DANCES, that they can show off to the opposing faction as they hold hands and sing cumbayah in Dalaran inbetween killing boars and 30 of everything for Nessingwary for the THIRD straight time.

Some people cannot distinguish between bland and bleak.

    Bland= the battleship-grey walls of a prison

Bleak= the rugged highlands of Scotland

well they have alot of shit in there u know, i dont think someone will be able to craft a damn house dude after all u can just kick someones ass with ur guild and get a city tahts just as good as a house except that its on fire and its fun to watch people burn there and all that stuff but still, i like the crafting system and it took an expansion pack for u to craft a damn mount as a engineer on WoW, and its a new game so it will have patches later to get diffrent stuff wont it ? and wow isnt about crafting, its about getting a enemies heads and waving them around and saying    im better than u basterd

kill the clowns O.o the damn clowns

    I agree with all this.

    However in WAR's defense...

    1. WOW and AOC have crap crafting and they're popular

    2. All Warhammer games have bland shitty envrionments

No I meant mounts, (and pets to)

In Star Wars Galaxies you can actually craft an egg which hatches a creature.

bland shitty enviroments? Their darker and bleaker...but not bland. Bland is boring, dark and bleak is adventurous.

    O...and crafting mounts...LOL

I'm not in the beta, and I understand they upgraded the graphics compared to what we see on the net.

So obviously my statement about bland is to the pictures that are available to me.

Take a look at this picture I found on the Warhammer website; to me it looks like a game from 2002; not much detail and lightning in the environment.

This is what I call bland.

    QFT

and to the above poster, yes the photobucket looks like its a picture from 2002 telling you stop usuing bandwith.

There is plenty of info around, just go to know where to look, i suggest looking at the gamesday videos.

And the lightning has been said many times its not all in.

Yes, I'd say that a picture of a photbucket logo is bland. I'm gonna go ahead and agree with you.
