I'm looking for a game with open class systems where you tend to engineer your own class as opposed to picking one from the start and being limited by it. I'd prefer picking from a large pool of skills as opposed to having a a skill-tree to follow.

keep an eye out for ryzom reopening soon. not only do you create your own "class", you also create your own skills. one of (if not THE) best skill systems i've seen.
