I seriously considering returning to AO. I played for about 6 months at LAUNCH and recently went back (a few months ago) and was utterly over whelmed. I have played most MMOS on the market today, but have found if I am not in a very good guild of adults that I will lost heart fast.
Are there any left?

Plenty of organisations left, but I'dd look for one on some other forum as mmorpg.com

try contacting The Red Brotherhood, I've been in the guild since I started to play about 6 months ago and now that Ive gone paying player, I can join guildmates in Shadowlands.
Everybody is friendly and we are not childish at all(some members have wives and kids)
