a subject close to my heart, was so sad when they were taken out :)

could think of a few additions to them as well

they drop special mats, loads of things these could do. randomly alter stats of crafts +/- a few percent, just boosting would get boring, or they are just standard kitin mats but with a unique color, etc, etc

once engaged in combat the aggro range of other patrols is doubled

they actively protect bosses and named in PR (kinda harsh this one, but we like harsh)

pfft, getting excited about ryzom again

    I absolutely agree. I enjoyed the complexity the Kitin Patrols brought to the game. And I always thought it was one of the best features because the animals on Ryzom are realistic in their behavior and the Kitin were meant to me tough, smart, and organized, it was a poor decision to remove them.

    I remember when my mount was lost in Abyss and I organized an event to retrieve him. Not sure if you were there Rushin, but there was a good number of people, about 50ish, and everyone was wiped by the Kitin Patrol in the area. It was soo much fun and I did get my mount back, even with all the DP we acquired and the fact that there was no reward, everyone who participated commented on how much fun they had.

    Your suggestions are quite good. I rather like the one about Kitins guarding the bosses. I would like to see a kitin lair in were the agro drops supreme mats that are rare and to avoid camping and raiding; they should be season oriented as well as random. I think the ring would be of better use in this way.

    Yeah! I want to scream "BUUUUUUUGS" again down there! :D

    But making them give other rewards then surviving them is in my oppinion only a way to get them wiped out faster, because they´d be camped and farmed just as bosses are. *sigh*

    Would be harder for a time, but rather sooner than later people would find out how to beat them and organise it, to get to those mats. Its always the same... Greed vs.Mind... Greed wins...

    I loved the kitin patrols and it would be so good to have them back.

    To make them guard some important diggin spots or some boss mobs sounds great :)

    would love kitin patrols back, hardly anything in ryzom can kill me anymore and bringing them back would add some fun to PR.

    up the kitin larvae in demons lap too, fill it full of kinrey

    I never got to see kitin patrols, but they sound like they were good.

    One of Ryzom's best features is the complex and realistic creature AI.

    It both enhances the feeling of immersion, and adds depth to gameplay.
