The biggest problem I see with it is you need to be in a very rich guild that can afford the ridiculous amount of credits to buy and maintain a player city. Most guilds do not want non members in their city fighting "Their Aliens". Check the Funcom Forums and you will see what I mean. It is a real flame war there.
Also there is NO Alien content in the missions. If you are a solo oriented person you are out of luck.
I think Funcom is making the Aliens for high level players hoping to keep them when WOW and EQII comes out. I am sure they realize they are probably not going to get many new players once those two games come out.
