Thinking of comming back, have a few questions...

It's been about 3 years since I played and at the rime enjoyed the non-combat aspects, for example, mining, refining and crafting... I'm bored with stabbing or shadow bolting stuff, so I wanted to come back to a game where I could do other things...
Is it still possible to make isk by only doing the above or has it reached a point where all the asteroid fields are mined out or all the production facilities are constantly full of old timers?
I think I still have a combat oriented character but as thinking of starting anew with either a miner of crafter...
Any tips would be appreciated.

mineral prices has decreased to the point of veldspar being the most valuable ore in empire 0.1-1.0 (due to rise in trit price and fall in every other min, most notable isogen and megacyte)

You should have no problem getting involved in industry at this time. You can even still make a profit from Tech I.
