When does beta start??

I've looked over the site and it had only a few info about the closed beta. Anyone else know when it begins or asi asi.

    From what I have read there is no confirmed date on when beta will begin.

    If he Fire don't get ya then the Ice will.

    Hello all,

    MEO Beta will open sometime in the Summer, the DEVs really do not truely know. The release will be sometime in Q/4 of this year at least image the DEVs have not truely picked a date.

    since the game was delayed don't expect the beta until 2005 sometime.

    On the home site, I have read that they have pulled out of showing at E3 to focus more attention on creating the game.  I, also, read that the release was pushed from Q4 2004 to sometime in 2005.  No clearer date is being.  Therefore, beta date has NOT been announced nor is there any speculation to when it will be open for sign up.

    Yeah i think it looks great but so does a few more mmorpg at the moment so i don't really care if it is 2005 because by then i will have played a few more games

    Being that they are saying release has a 2005 push and they wont say approximately what month, it is hard to speculate with 12 months.  My guess is that beta will start Dec 2004ish...again, thats just my guess.

    I had a lot better feeling about the game before Turbine got involved.  Now I'm wondering if the Vivendi/Universal aquisition by GE/NBC will affect the game.

    I just hope that turbine doesn't drop the ball like they did with AC2.

    Well, general consensus is that Turbine didn't do any ball dropping with AC2, it was Microsoft that muddied the waters and kept Turbine from doing to the game what they wanted/needed to do. Now that Turbine has taken full control of AC2 it's showing some promising changes and plans. With a game based on something so well liked and respected as Tolkien I would think Turbine will be able to get the job done. Or at least I hope. ;)

    Funny they pulled out of E3 & pushed the release date back so much ...sounds like things aren't going to smoothly for them.....I'm not to impressed with Turbine but I am hopeing this game turns into something Fun & in no way resembles that piece of crap AC2 was

    Based on what I have read from the Turbine Nation reports, the graphics are great and the extra time they are taking is paying off.  The pictures from before the extra time was added and after show Turbine has added alot of detail to the environment.  I wish I could have attended and seen this for myself.
